I'm so thankful that you are here.

I am a follower of Jesus, a wife and a mother. I love sharing snippets of life with you here on The Happy Healthy Home Maker.

I struggled with the idea of starting The Happy Healthy Home Maker. What do I have to share? Why me? etc.

But, following my personal battle with "I'm just a homemaker", "I'm just a wife", "I'm just a Mum" etc. Why not me?

I spent years wondering how I could have had a successful career in the world yet struggle and fail so much in my role first as a wife, then as a mother, and overall as a home maker. 

The final push I needed came from a movie. I heard the quote "the best teachers are those learning the lesson themselves". So, with everything I share here, I am learning the lesson right beside you and would really appreciate your prayers.

After some distractions, then a month off- which turned into a year off!  I am back to share encouragement I find, solutions I use in my home to help everything move smoothly and to cheer you along on your home making journey!

I recently approached a wise friend asking for advise about a burden I was carrying. She admonished me with Titus 2v4-5. I was so thankful of that simple reminder of what is my responsibility. 

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." Titus 2v
